Privacy
Short version: no account, no tracking cookies, no server-side data about you. Your game state lives on your device.
What stays on your device
Best times, daily-challenge streaks, the puzzle you're partway through, and your preferences are stored in your browser's localStorage. They never leave your device. Clearing your browser data clears them.
What the server sees
When you request a puzzle, your browser sends a normal HTTP request to stillgrid.app. That request reaches our hosting provider's logs (IP address, user agent, timestamp, URL) for the usual operational reasons — debugging, rate limiting, abuse prevention. We don't link those logs to anything that identifies you, because we don't have anything that identifies you.
No accounts. No emails. No password resets. No "sign in with Google." The server never learns who you are.
Analytics
We use Plausible for product analytics. It is GDPR-compliant, doesn't set cookies, doesn't collect personal data, and doesn't track you across sites. It tells us things like "how many people played a killer puzzle today" — never "this specific person did X."
Plausible's data lives at plausible.io, not on our servers. Their data policy covers exactly what they collect.
No third-party trackers, ads, or fingerprinting
No Google Analytics, no Meta pixel, no advertising network, no session replay, no fingerprinting. Just Plausible.
Cookies
Stillgrid does not set cookies. Plausible does not set cookies. There is no cookie banner because there are no cookies to disclose.
Children
Stillgrid is suitable for all ages. We don't knowingly collect data from anyone — children included — because we don't knowingly collect data from anyone.
Changes
If this policy changes, it will be visible on this page. The site itself doesn't have your contact info to email you.
